Patagonia AND Circular inc.

How ReStore by Circular Inc. helps Patagonia fulfil it’s Ironclad Guarantee and keep their clothing in circulation for longer,

PROCESS & SYSTEMS.

We have our own repair management system that configures an efficient workflow and are adept at working within a brand’s own network if needed. With Patagonia we dovetail their repairs portal with ours to ensure seamless reporting and processing, enabling both sides to have clear visibility on progress.

FABRIC & TRIM STOCK.

Patagonia delivered additional fabric, trim and zips. We use our logistical expertise to put these into our stock system which is accessed by the seamstresses and updated when used. We have visibility on rate of use which results in top up orders being placed ahead of time and removing repair downtime.

REPAIR.

Before we began with Patagonia we ran several trials with our seamstresses, working on Live returned products and a wide range of items to ensure the repair quality and style of repair fitted with their expectations and demands. Variations and parameters we’re agreed - a 2 week turnaround and fully functioning product.

QuALITY CONTROL

The trials ensure we work to the construction methods and quality that Patagonia demand so that the individual customers are happy and maximum value can be gained from resale. All repairs go through an internal two stage QC sign-off to ensure all repairs are to a high standard and even picking up on repairs that hadn’t been spotted the first time.

COMMUNICATION.

We tailor our communications to each brand we deal with. With Patagonia we use their own repair portal to log details and add comments. We also have clear sight of demand and also report back on repair rate and updates to our processes. We work in partnership, so if we spot improvements and efficiencies we suggest these back to the brand.

UPCYCLING.

Any end of life products we disassemble and use either in the repair of other Patagonia clothing or put it into our UpCycle program to make new products from old. These are determined by the amount of fabric and trim available and we work with brands to develop upcycle templates that ensure commercially viable products.
